Love Week: Potty Trained Toddlers

I was dreading the task of potty training Holly and JD. I attempted a few times and then gave up, really easily. Truth is I was just lazy and waiting for the day when they would wake up and say, “I want to wear big boy/girl underwear.” That day never came.

JD had been waking up dry for days and I started putted him directly on the potty when he woke up. Now that wasn’t so hard. He got the hang of it quickly, begged for a diaper by day three, but, I refused to give it to him. The potty chart really helped and it was filled up quickly with star wars, smiley faces, baseball, and animal stickers. I love that he caught on and doesn’t have any accidents. And I love that JD cheers on Holly.

I love that I don’t have to buy diapers anymore. Well, I pretty much refuse to do it. Since Holly was showing no interest in wearing underwear, I took charge and made her. I think soon she’ll soon get the hang of it and her chart will be filled up too. Only one accident and we are on our way to having two potty trained toddlers in the house in less than a month. That makes me one happy woman.
