Pumpkin Patch

I think this is going to be a fun adventure for us every year. Last year we went to the Clayton Pumpkin Farm to take some pictures and introduce Holly and JD to the orange objects, they didn’t really care. This year we knew they would be more excited and interested in all the animals and pumpkins so we took Daddy with us. We took our first pictures at the measuring sign. At first they wouldn’t stand still long enough for me to get a picture. JD wanted to look at the pumpkins and Holly soon followed. Then Holly went back to the sign. Instead of standing right next to it though, Holly stood about a foot away and backed up to it. It was the funniest thing. She did this a few times and I was able to get a picture of her. JD soon followed so we got a picture of him too.

After we picked out our pumpkin we took a family picture, greeted the alpacas, goats, piggies and chickens. Holly loved looking over the fence while JD thought it would be fun to stick his finger in the chicken fence. Not a good idea. The little chick got a little too close. No damage though!! JD liked walking down the path and Holly found the fun hay maze that she loved going in and out of. JD soon discovered it was fun for him too. We wandered around a bit more and then decided it was getting too hot so we left. As we were walking back to the car JD decided his pouty lip should make it’s appearance. It’s so nice to have fun family activities close by.
